Cemetery Visitations
Every year members of the Roosevelt - Aurora American Legion Post 84 visit four cemeteries to pay respects to the fallen veterans of our community. The community is encouraged to attend. The members meet at the following:
12:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery located at 675 U.S. 30, Aurora
12:40 p.m. at Annunciation Cemetery located at 1820 Church Road, Aurora
1:15 p.m. at St. Michael's Cemetery located on Route 25 at Mitchell Road, Aurora
2:00 p.m. at River Hills Memorial Park Cemetery located at 1650 S. River, Batavia IL

Memorial Day Parade
The Roosevelt - Aurora American Legion Post 84 participates in this parade. The City of Aurora annually remembers and honors all the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Come and show your appreciation and support by participating in the parade. This year's Parade Grand Marshal is Richard A. Miller.
- The pre-parade program begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Reviewing Stand in front of the David L. Pierce Art & History Center on Downer Place.
- The parade begins at 10:00 a.m.
Independence Day Parade: Tuesday, July 4, 2023
The Roosevelt - Aurora American Legion Post 84 participates in this parade. Come and show your support by joining us as we march in this parade.
- Begin line up by 9:00 a.m.
- The pre-parade program begins at 9:15 a.m. at the Reviewing Stand in front of the David L. Pierce Art & History Center on Downer Place.
- The parade begins at 10:00 am from the corner of Benton and River Street
3rd Annual American Legion Golf Outing: Thursday, September 21, 2023
Please join the Roosevelt-Aurora American Legion Post 84 for their 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Bliss Creek Golf Course. Post 84 is grateful to the generous sponsors who have helped us over the years. All proceeds benefit Active Military, Veterans and their families in our community and community organizations who support them.
VETERANS DAY: Saturday, November 11, 2023
Parade
The annual Veterans Day parade is on November 11th with a parade kick off at 10:15 in Downtown Aurora. The parade will end at the GAR memorial hall with a 21 gun salute at exactly 11:00 am.
