FOURTH (4th) OF JULY -  Thursday, July 4, 2019

Independence Day Parade

The Roosevelt - Aurora American Legion Post 84 is honored for the past six years to be hosting the annual Independence Day parade in conjunction with the City of Aurora.  This annual event draws between 7,000 to 10,000 spectators from not only the City of Aurora, but the surrounding communities and would not be possible without the support and commitment of our sponsors and volunteers.  We are excited to continue this tradition for the 2018 Independence Day Parade!  Please visit our sponsorship page for sponsorship opportunities.

Keeping with tradition, Post 84 will also participate in the selection of a Grand Marshal for the parade.  Again we encourage our membership to participate in the nomination process.   Please download the form  and do either of the following,  email to  gmoga@aurora-il.org, fax to (630) 256-3379, mail to
44 E. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60505 or take it to  the Special Events / Grand Marshal Selection Committee at the same address.
The Application Deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31st

11th Annual HISTORIC LaSALLE STREET AUTO SHOW - Sunday, August 18, 2019

Transport back in time and enjoy this auto show staged on the most historic street in downtown Aurora.  Last year the auto show drew in hundreds of spectators and we expect the crowd to grow this year.  Enjoy the vintage and classic cars, in addition to viewing military vehicles on display  that you can sit in and take a picture.  For more information on this great event,
